Neroli

Neroli oil, derived from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium), is prized for its delicate, floral aroma and its numerous benefits for the skin. Its main chemical compounds—linalool, limonene, and geraniol—are responsible for its therapeutic properties.

Linalool, a key compound in neroli oil, is known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. This makes it excellent for soothing irritated skin, reducing redness, and promoting overall skin balance. Linalool also contributes to the calming effect of neroli oil, helping reduce stress-related skin issues such as rosacea flare-ups.

Limonene offers powerful antioxidant benefits, helping to protect the skin from free radical damage and environmental stressors. It works to detoxify the skin, enhancing its natural defense mechanisms while promoting a clearer, brighter complexion. Additionally, limonene is known for its ability to penetrate deep into the skin, aiding the absorption of other beneficial ingredients.

Geraniol is another important compound, which helps maintain skin elasticity and combats the signs of aging. It has regenerative properties that promote cell turnover, encouraging the growth of new, healthy skin cells. Geraniol also contributes to neroli oil’s ability to lock in moisture, making it highly beneficial for dry and mature skin types.
