Xanthan gum

KEY BENEFITS

  • Derived from the fermentation of sugars.

  • Stabilises emulsions (creams).

Xanthan gum

Commonly used in food, xanthan gum is produced when the Xanthomonas campestris bacteria is used to ferment sugar. Naturally derived and multifunctional, it thickens and stabilises, draws moisture from the environment to keep skin hydrated, and provides skin conditioning benefits. It creates a beautiful slip and silky feel on the skin, aids with the ease of application of the product, and keeps the formula from separating.
